The programme endeavours to address the changing trends in industry by updating pertinent modules namely Electrical Technology, Electronics, Control, Instrumentation, Electrical machines, Protection Supply which will enable the Technician to perform skillfully and apply knowledge to achieve desired objectives.
The purpose of the programme is to equip the trainee with knowledge, skills and attitudes to enable them perform competently, apply the modern principles of electrical Technology and Electronics in repair works, control networks, servicing, troubleshooting, design and installation in both industrial and domestic works.
Requirements
- Direct entry. Grade 12 School Certificate with a minimum of credits in English Language, Mathematics, Science and any other two (2) subjects.
- Mature age entry. A minimum of Craft Certificate in a related discipline from an accredited institution and a minimum of two (2) years working experience.
Exemptions will be awarded as per TEVETA guidelines.
Duration
Two and half years inclusive of 6 months Industrial Attachment.
