PROGRAMME PURPOSE

The purpose of the programme is to equip the trainee with knowledge, skills and appropriate attitudes in Automotive Engineering to competently operate in both the formal and informal sector of the economy. They will be able to diagnose, repair, and maintain motor vehicles and equipment to acceptable international standards.

PROGRAMME ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Direct Entry

Grade 12 School Certificate with a minimum of credits in English Language, Mathematics, Science and any other two (2) subjects.

Mature Entry
  • 1. A minimum of a Craft Certificate in Automotive Engineering or in a related discipline.
  • 2. A minimum of Advanced Certificate in Automotive Engineering or in a related discipline.

PROGRAMME DURATION

The programme duration is three (3) years and three months (3600 notional learning hours), inclusive of 480 hours (3 months) of Industrial Attachment.

Graduates will be able to diagnose, repair, and maintain motor vehicles and equipment to acceptable international standards.

Programme Entry Requirements
